It has been a very family oriented year as I started off in January by meeting up with my parents, uncles, aunts and cousins for tomcod fishing near Quebec city.
Next up was my b-day convention G-Anime! my gift from my spouse was a couple photoshoot! (he's not that much into cosplay)
Then in February we had a nice weekend of Winterlude and Disney on Ice with my parents, sister, niece and nephew.
March was quiet so I spent some time trying to put together a steampunk costume for my next convention. It looks ok but can still be tweaked some more..!
April was Costume-Con! XD That convention was the highlight of my convention year! If you like creating costumes and are over 25 years old, this is THE convention for you! So many masquerades! So much creativity in the air! I got to meet Sarcasm-Hime and she is amazing as usual!
May was Ottawa Comic-con. I'm not a huge fan of paying for litterally everything I do at a convention so I only attended on the Saturday to meet up with Scarlet Cosplay. Still it was a lot of fun! I got to meet Calssara and Elffi too!
June was quiet again so I started working on my Sailor Galaxia for an upcoming group cosplay. That costume was very challenging as I am no where near being a sewing master and had to work with spandex for the first time and my sewing machine was not cooperating.. -_-
In July I had a two week vacation with my spouse and my parents. We toured New-Brunswick and PEI and had quite an amazing time!! Me and my spouse ended up buying a brand new car for the occasion! A 2015 Mazda CX-5!
Mackerel fishing was very cool!
Begining of August was crazy trying to finish my cosplay last minute (are you surprised? ) Otakuthon was amazing, as always! I met up with my cosplay group and just had a lot of fun! ^_^
September we spent some time in my home town helping my mother in law move to her new house and help her with some renos.
October and November was very emotional as I lost both of my grand-mothers
I still was able to attend Pop-Expo with some friends and that helped a bit to cheer me up. THE most amazing thing happened during this convention, I was invited for dinner by Melting Mirror and when I showed up at the restaurant, sitting at our table was none other than YAYA HAN and JOHNNY JUNKERS! I had a huge fangirl moment inside but did not want to show it so they don't find me weird! Only downside was that the restaurant was pretty lound so I had a hard time hearing the conversation.. But amazing nontheless! XD
I was also able to get some good pictures with DROO with my Sailor Galaxia cosplay and one in particular turned out really amazing!
I spent a week in December in my home town for Chistmas and again had a lot of fun! There was enough snow up there so I went snowmobiling with my spouse and my dad!
So that's the gist of it!
Hope you all had a good 2014!
See you next year!
